I offer Single Session Therapy (online) for my old returning clients who need a "Top-Up" Session after being in weekly therapy with me for a period of time.
Fees for SST - £90
Generally your first session is a "getting to know you" session, it is always a consultation.
It will be used as a space to help me to know you as a person, and for you to know me as a therapist. We will be discussing those presenting issues you are dealing with most, what specifically are you looking for in this new counselling experience, what specifically helps you in the counselling process etc.
I offer both. For short-term counselling, we will focus on specific issues and situations that you want to solve. It usually takes place over 6-12 weeks.
While short-term counselling is effective for some people, 6 to 12 sessions do not make enough space for the deeper unravalling of emotional pain that has accumulated over a lifetime. In this case, we might need to do some in-depth counselling work which involves delving deep into the root cause of recurring themes and patterns in your life, so more insights and wisdoms would be brought forth which would allow deeper transformation to occur.
In fact, there is no typical counselling session. I am highly trained in listening and reflecting, and provides a safe and compassionate space in which to explore your issues. You are free to discuss what you wish, from everyday events, dilemmas, feelings, and thoughts, to regrets, aspirations, memories and dreams.
For the first 6 sessions, a regular weekly commitment is required. After that, a less frequent session schedule can be considered.
Having a regular, scheduled weekly therapy sessions over a period of time, can contribute to a feeling of safety and trust that allows you and me to work on a deeper and more effective level.
There are many ways you can find out if counselling is helping you, such as, my six-week review will help you see if change is happening or has already happened, you might notice a change in your state of mind or in your behaviours.
I also brought a number of measurement tools for counselling to track your progress. For example, PHQ9-GAD7 form, Goals Form, and so on. I welcome you to check in with yourself and me regularly in regard to the therapeutic goals you set for yourself, so we can adjust the goals and approach for the next stage of counselling based on the changes that occur during your sessions.

No, they do not. I only offer these sessions for daughters 1:1 individually. My programe is neither for the mother, or for mother and mother as a couple.
The goal is to help you build better boundaries, and regain greater wellbeing and power in your relationship with your mother. And to do that, you are better off going into therapy alone than getting into power struggle with your mother. You can trust me that you are able to make the change without your mum being in the session with you.
Each session lasts 60 minutes. Because I have a waiting list so I can only offer 9 mother-daughter sessions in total.
After our initial consultation in which we discover what is casuing conflict and what your therapetuic goals are, I would like to see you weekly for the first 3 weeks. Weekly sessions are important because it gets the therapy going and kick-starts the required changes. Thereafter, you can choose to come every second week becasue you may need more time between sessions to process the materials or to complete your homework.
Yes, they are different. Mother-daughter coaching is completely focused on your mother-daughter issues, so it is more goal-oriented. Like other coaching sessions, it requires more action on your part to get the results you want.
The tools I use are specifically for mother-daughter issues, for example, a mother-daughter history map from mother-daughter attachment model will not be used in my counseling sessions, nor will the method of setting boundaries, and some exercises and homework are specific to mother-daughter sessions.
You can email me to book your initial consultation. We will schedule a time to discuss your coaching needs and goals. From there, we decide what your next steps are, such as, the frequency of sessions, which package might suit you etc.
In our initial session, you and I can get a sense of whether we would be a good fit to work together by having the conversation.
'When I first came to Yingli, I was quite timid and have struggled with my confidence for a long time. My previous therapist diagnosed me with a Personality Disorder called Covert Narcissist, which hurt me and increased my shame. Yingli does not label or judge. She actually helped me to remove the label and discover self-love. I find her therapeutic style very compassionate and supportive, she is a great listener, therapist and adviser. It feels like talking to a friend who deeply care about my wellbeing. Each session feels empowering. I am extremely grateful to meet her.'
