I help women transform "Not-Good-Enough-Syndrome" into inner strength and resilience.
Due to Covid, all services are being provided via online platforms for the time being. I offer counselling sessions in English and Mandarin.
I provide a trustworthy space where you can freely express your thoughts and feelings, without fear of being judged.

Hi, I am Yingli. I am an Integrative and Transpersonal Counsellor based in Central and Southwest London.
I meet clients in Clapham Junction, London Bridge and Surbiton, and I also provide online counselling for clients who prefer online engagement. I am a registered member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)and adhere their ethical framework.
While I work with various mental and emotional problems or stress, I have a growing specialty in working with low self-esteem and self-worth issues.
My aspiration is to help women with tangible tools to overcome low self-esteem and fragile self-worth standing between you and what you desire, so you can become the self-assured woman and live a more passionate and purposeful life!
With care and gratitude,
There are many causes of low self-esteem, and it often begins in childhood. The judgemental attitude of an authoritative figure when you were growing up can easily chip away your self-esteem, being bullied at school can also cause low self-esteem, and so forth.
Mother-Daughter Relationships
The relationship between a mother and her daughter is probably the most profound relationship of all. Popular wisdom often tells us that mothers and daughters are supposed to be close, therefore it's very difficult for mothers and daughters to talk about their relationship difficulties.
Complex PTSD is caused by severe, repetitive trauma that typically happens in childhood. In other word, the person is marinated in a traumatic environment in which he/she suffers ongoing onslaughts.
People who migrate experience many stresses that can impact their mental and emotional wellbeing, including the loss of cultural norm, lack support network, adjustment to a new culture and changes in identity etc. As an immigrant, I know what it’s like to have the feeling of being on the edge and a sense of confusion and loss of my own roots.
Relationship Issues, Friendship Problems
Maybe you are in a relationship that doesn’t serve you, but somehow you are scared to leave. Maybe you've been rocked by a break up and feel utterly disappointed and hurt. Maybe you are struggling to make friends with people you feel really see and understand you. I can help you understand your needs and wants so you can make better connections with people.
Eating problems can give rise to numerous psychological symptoms, such as shame and self-loathing, depression and anxiety, a disturbed body image, and a tendency to isolate from others. I believe the thoughts and feelings about food is the thoughts and feelings about everything in life, so I’d like to help you understand your relationship with food and cultivate a healthy eating.
"Self-worth is vital to our wellbeing and happiness. If you feel good enough about yourself, it's easy to feel good about anything else."
Over the years, I have seen so many women are struggling with low self-esteem and low self-worth. I myself have also been fallen into these pitfalls. There is often a sense of not belonging and loneliness behind a disempowering belief that 'we are not enough for who we are'.
That's why I commit myself to help women overcome low self-esteem and reconnect with your intrinsic self-worth, so you can enjoy an emotionally connected and supportive bond with others, and live a meaningful and authentic life without guilt.
"I have been working with Yingli for seven and a half months, and every week I look forward to our sessions. As a person, Yingli always brings her quietly-sunny expression, and as a therapist she is very attuned & perceptive. She is able to quickly adapt her methods to my needs – whether a conversation, a brief meditation, a fun game of drawing etc, depending on what mood or depth I bring to the session on that day. Our conversation goes far beyond just talking. Her enquiries often offer a very unique surprising angle, which I find extremely beneficial and for which I am grateful. Thank you, Yingli!”

“When I first met Yingli I was struggling with confidence issues, which was having a huge effect on my resilience and perspective on life. Through our time together, Yingli has helped me to better connect to my emotional wellbeing and identified the things that impact my mental health negatively. I thoroughly value our sessions together, which create a safe, non-judgementmal and honest space for me to reflect and decompress each week, troubleshooting issues and celebrating the life’s wins. I feel now lighter, more resilient and confident even through the harder days, and as result my relationships with other people and most importantly, myself, have blossomed.”

My fees for online & telephone counselling are £65 for a 60 minute session.
My fees for in-person counselling are £75 for a 50 minute session.
Generally your first session is a 'getting to know you ' session. It will be used as a space to help me to know you as a person, and for you to know me as a therapist. We will be discussing those presenting issues you are dealing with most, what specifically are you looking for in this new counselling experience, what specifically helps you in the counselling process etc. The first session is always a consultation.
A regular weekly commitment is required. Having a regular, scheduled weekly therapy sessions over a period of time, can contribute to a feeling of safety and trust that allows you and me to work on a deeper and more effective level.
You will know that these sessions are working for you when you notice a change in your state of mind or in your behaviours.
There are many ways to let you know if counselling is working for you, such as, I will conduct progress review with you on a regular basis, I use specific counselling measurement tools to track your progress, and you can also check in with yourself and me in regard to the therapeutic goals you set for yourself when starting counselling.
